It has been recorded since ancient times that tea has been appreciated not only for its taste, but also for its odor, more pleasantly known as, “fragrance, aroma, or scent”. Through history tea has been mixed with other ingredients to make different varieties of incense. In a Tea Incense Ceremony pure tea is used as incense and the focus is purely on tea.
